Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World - Chapter 106
Chapter 106 Tower Of Trials [Part 2]
“So Here’s the question, are you ready to face the Tower of Trials?” The god spoke.
“I have a question, can we work as a team?”
“Of course, why do you think all of you are here, working as a team is one of the best ways to clear the tower but individual brilliance is all that matters because most of you, or possibly all of you are going to die”
“The best way to survive is to work together” The guy who asked the question spoke.
“How do you know we’re going to survive? We’re just going to die either way,” the dwarf spoke.
“At least we should die trying; I don’t want to die yet,” the elf spoke.
“Alright, so we’re going to face the Tower?”
“Yes”
“Alright, since it’s settled, let’s get to choosing a weapon; tell me the weapon of your choice, and I’ll bring a selection,” the god spoke as he came down from his throne and created clones of himself, one for each of the ten individuals.
One of the clones approached Xavier, “You should know, the only person that has passed my Tower is a champion of one of the other gods,” He muttered, but Xavier didn’t answer.
“So what’s your weapon of choice?”
“A sword, a really powerful sword,” Xavier spoke, and the next moment, they were alone in a room, and in front of him were six swords laid out on a large rock carved like a table.
“Each of these swords has its unique ability and also if you survive the tower, you get to keep the sword, I’ll explain each of their power”
1. Soulpiercer – A sword capable of severing the very essence of its enemies, leaving them without a trace.
2. Dragonslayer – A legendary sword crafted to slay dragons, its blade ever-burning with a fire that can pierce scales.
3. Bloodreaver – A cursed sword that thirsts for blood, growing stronger with every life it claims.
4. Gravekeeper’s Edge – A sword that can summon the spirits of the dead, commanding them to aid its wielder in battle.
5. Frostbite – A sword with a frozen edge that can freeze enemies in place, its coldness capable of shattering bones.
6. Infernal Reaver – A sword imbued with the fury of hellfire, capable of summoning flames that scorch all in its path.
Xavier was lost for words; each of these weapons was in a class of its own; if the weapons were this power, then how come no one has been able to pass the trials?
He couldn’t think of one to select; each of them had that edge, something that he would need, but one stood out more, the bloodreaver.@@novelr18@@
Unlike the rest, it was the only curse sword. Xavier knew cursed swords were powerful, but the catch was they were unpredictable, and a sword like this would most likely corrupt the wielder, and they slowly descend into madness or, worse, go on an unstoppable killing spree.
“Cursed swords aren’t that bad,” The god spoke, and Xavier turned towards him.
“I can’t hear your thoughts, don’t worry; everyone here is also thinking about using a cursed sword, but would you, can you, and if you did, would it choose you?”
“Choose me?”
“Curse weapons have a mind of their own; when they are in the hands of a weak person, they tend to run out of control, but in the hands of a special person, they become subjugated; take your time,” the god spoke as he walked away.
Xavier was sure the god wanted him to pick the cursed sword, but why would he when other powerful swords with no drawbacks were available?
His second choice would be the soulpiercer, the body to attack not only the body but the soul, the grave keeper edge would also be a good sword with the ability to summon the undead.
Still, his mind went to the bloodreaver; with each life taken, the sword grew stronger, and for a curse to grow stronger, a time would come when it would overpower him, and curse swords can’t be returned like a normal sword.
“Everyone else has chosen a weapon; you’re the only one left; have you made your choice?” The god asks.
“Yes,” Xavier replied.
Xavier found himself in the former room with the rest of the others, each of them holding swords, staffs, and axe, and one of them wearing a gauntlet.
“I’ll leave you time to discuss; when I return, we’ll start the trial,” He spoke before whooshing away.
“Why does your sword look so plain?” One of them masked Xavier.
“I was also surprised, but it’s still powerful” Xavier simply replied.
“So now let’s talk. We need to know each of our strengths and weaknesses so we can watch each other back, but first, we need to give names to be able to easily remember each other,” the guy who looked like a human but had small horns was the one speaking.
“I’m the only human here, so just call me human” Xavier was the first to reply.
“Same, I’m the only elf”
“I’m only the only dwarf”
“Call me harpy, I’m a half harpy half…just call me harpy” the girl with wings spoke.
“So that’s four; well, you can call me Dragonborn or simply Dragon to make it easy,” the guy with horns spoke.
“Call me tiger,” one of the beastkin who looked like a tiger said.
“Call me pirate,” the next guy spoke; he had fish-like scales on most parts of his body, including his face.
“I like to be called Mana,” the next guy said; he was slightly taller than the rest and covered himself with a robe revealing only his legs, hands, and face, which looked a bit strange and nonhuman.
“I’m a demon, so call me demon” the next guy spoke with lightning blue skin.
“I’m also a demon, so demon,” the other one spoke too, with purple-like skin.
Stay tuned with empire
“Alright, I think those would be easy to remember, since it’s come to this we need to watch each other backs, so strength and weaknesses next”
