Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System - Chapter 216
Chapter 216 Arrogance Is Bliss (1)
At the entrance of the Divine Palace Sect, the wicked Poison Witch and her disciple Annabelle stand with frowns on their faces.
Annabelle was hugging her master’s arm with a frown and a smug expression on her face. Kent wasn’t around, so she frowned.
Gate Master Mara, Camilla, and Ezra are also present, along with the Gate Master from the Alchemy Gate, Old Hans. He is there because a Saint Alchemist is present.
As for the three others, they were initially there to welcome the Pill Saint. However, they are now trying to calm her down as she demands that they bring out the purple-haired brat.
The only purple-haired brat in the sect is Kent, who has already cemented his reputation as a troublemaker extraordinaire.
Nobody knew what had happened, but right now, the Pill Saint—who, even if the Sect Master were present, wouldn’t dare be disrespected—was demanding Kent. And from the look in her eyes, she wasn’t here to thank him.
“I don’t have all day. Bring out this brat who dares to disrespect my honour, or your sect will face the consequences,” Pill Saint Riva said, looking directly at Gate Master Mara, who was sweating down to her feet.
She wasn’t about to act all high and mighty. No, she knew when to be arrogant and when to recognize that the odds were against her.
If this were a Sword Sage, she wouldn’t have that panicked look in her eyes. After all, she was a Sword Sage herself.
But Alchemists are different. They don’t follow the same power system. A Grandmaster Pill Master holds more authority than a sect elder or even a sect leader. The reason is that Alchemists are rare.
It’s not an easy profession, so not many can venture into it. Of course, if you’re looking for a Pill Master, you can find thousands, but when searching for Pill Grandmasters and Saints, that number is severely limited.
So, while she may be a Sword Sage—someone highly respected—in front of one of the Seven Pill Saints and the Wicked Poison Witch no less, she was a nobody.
Perhaps only a Sword King could rival that.
“Pill Saint Riva, please give us some time. The disciple in question was in seclusion, so bringing him out will take some time,” Gate Master Mara said politely.
She had already sent people to inform the Sword Saintess to bring Kent. While she knew things might escalate at any moment, she did her best to hold Riva back until Kent arrived. Find your next read at My Virtual Library Empire
“As I said, I don’t have all day. If he doesn’t appear within the next 10 minutes, I will not hesitate to turn this place into a poison cemetery,” Riva declared.
The four gate masters shuddered at her words. Of course, these were not mere threats. She indeed had the power to do exactly as she said, which was why they reacted the way they did.
While she may be a Pill Saint, she was also a poison cultivator—someone with high mastery in using poison and soul attacks. She could easily turn the sect into a wasteland, and she would not hesitate to do so.
Why?
Because there wouldn’t be anyone willing or audacious enough to stop her. In fact, if she wanted, she could kill everyone, and there wouldn’t be much penalization from anyone. She is that powerful.
Perhaps too powerful for anyone’s good.
A couple of minutes into the ten-minute window, Saintess Selene appeared and whispered something into Riva’s ear, causing her eyes to widen.
In her mind, everything was done for her.@@novelr18@@
Kent had doomed them all.
Kent only told his master to tell the gate master to relax and that he would handle everything. Obviously, from the little he knew about Kent, whatever the purple-haired brat was up to wasn’t something good.
She sighed and looked at the Poison Witch, who had no idea she was about to clash with an equally poisonous bastard.
Nine minutes passed, and they could only stand there and stare at each other. Kent was a no-show, and the Poison Witch was getting impatient.
That was especially true for her disciple, who was doing a minute countdown. One had to hate her, no matter her background or status.
“It seems your sects have forgotten who a Pill Saint is. Today, I will show the entire continent that nobody can mess with a Pill Saint and go scot-free.” The moment Anabelle finished the last countdown, the Pill Saint spoke.
She took a step forward, ready to do what she had come there to do. At that moment, hundreds of elders and even disciples were present at the scene.
They had all gathered when word began spreading about the appearance of the Pill Saint.
They had wanted to see her, but now, they all looked scared and ready to run for their lives. None of them, aside from a few elders, the gate masters, and core disciples, could possibly come out of this alive.
“Wait, Pill Saint, this is just a misunderstanding. We can resolve this,” Gate Master Mara said, almost pleading.
Though she had forgiven Kent when she found out the sect master was after him, the hatred she had first felt for him resurfaced. And perhaps, this time, she might actually kill him to pacify her anger.
“I have waited enough… This is the outcome of disrespecting my honour.” She extended her hand and was about to attack when suddenly, a disciple asked a question.
“If you don’t mind me asking, how did the sect disrespect your honour?”
The question was simple, but the silence that followed was immediate.
A sudden silence descended on the entire space, making everyone turn their heads in the direction the voice came from. They all wanted to see who was bold enough to ask such a question.
Turning, they all saw a purple-haired bastard with his hands clasped behind him, looking in the direction of the Pill Saint, who stood there looking back at him.
Kent had made his appearance, and with it, a sudden quietness filled the space.
“Master, that is him… That is the brat who took the Dreamshade Flowers from me.”
